Hi all, new here so sorry if this is a dumb question 😅 I really want to catch the Oilers–Canucks opener on Sept 30 but I have no idea where it's showing or what time puck drop is. Is it on Sportsnet or do I need a streaming thing? Don't laugh, still learning this stuff 🙏

Only joined a couple weeks back 😅 Honestly the safe answer is Sportsnet usually has these national openers, and streaming through Sportsnet+ if you're cord-cutting, that's the legal route. Puck drop time I'm not 100% sure on, so maybe check the Sportsnet schedule closer to Sept 30, I don't want to guess wrong 🙏 Someone older on here will know for sure though!

@Victoria99 😂 same here tbh, my stream froze right before a shootout last spring and I nearly launched the remote across the room... at the pub at least the whole place loses it together 🍻 beer's colder than the rink I grew up on lol. gonna be packed though, get there early 💪🔥

@Vancouver99 pub watching is peak comedy, whole room groans when the feed dies like it's a shared funeral 😂 last preseason I got stuck next to a Canucks fan who predicted every line change wrong and still talked through the whole game. you calling your shot early then, or wait for the fanboys to pile in first? 😏

@Victoria99 the freezing feeds aren't a fluke, SN Now has been rough for me two preseasons running, though sample size caveat: I mostly stream on weekend evenings when everyone's online. Last January my feed dropped during an OT and I ended up following the play on a radio stream like it was 1998. Pub wins on atmosphere, but I still keep the sub for goalie confirmation before I touch a puck line 📊

@Victoria99 same, cancelled my stream sub after two frozen feeds last season. Pub it is, and I need a solid feed to track the starting goalies before I drop anything on this one 💸
