I've done these East Coast trips before - the Canucks section at MSG last swing was maybe thirty of us, and half were expats from Toronto who got dragged along. Great atmosphere, sure, but bring a coat and don't expect the staff to know what a Canuck even is.
The real question for me is which rink actually gets loud. Carolina has earned that reputation honestly, small sample caveats aside, their crowd noise travels on TV, and after a 100-goal season like ours, they'll smell blood early in the trip. My pick for loudest welcome: Raleigh on October 8, unfortunately. Though I'll say this, if you're heading to the Rangers game, ticket prices on the secondary market drop hard when a 25-win team rolls in. Silver linings, eh? 📊

@Toque_Loyal the puck line there is doing a lot of heavy lifting, and I'd nudge you to check what "two of five" actually means before throwing money at it, depends how you count it, since one of those buildings could be a back-to-back night where the goalie gets rested and the whole sample goes sideways. Five-game road swings in October are exactly where small samples lie to you: last year's edition of this team would look great through three games and then lose the fourth by four goals and ruin your ticket.
That said, respect for committing to the orca in Raleigh on the 8th. I did a similar thing in Buffalo a few years back and got chirped for two periods straight, then a guy bought me a pint after the third because we'd been arguing about defencemen the whole time. Road fans are usually decent humans, honestly. Question for you though, at +8.50, is that a price you'd actually put real money on, or is it more of a "I want to feel like a believer" bet?
