New here so sorry if this is asked a hundred times 🙈 The Leafs host the Sens on October 3 and I really want to catch the Battle of Ontario opener, but I have zero idea where the feed actually is. Sportsnet? TSN? CBC? And what time does it start, evening game I'm guessing?
Also maybe I'm wrong but is it on regular TV or do I need some streaming subscription for it? Would rather not pay for three different apps just to watch one match lol. And if anyone knows a good pub in town showing it, tell me, I'd rather watch with people than alone 😅 Thanks in advance, genuinely appreciate any help 🙏
I keep seeing people say "the feed" and I'm still learning this stuff 😅 does that just mean which channel has the broadcast, or is there some rights thing where Sportsnet and TSN split the games? Go easy on me, I only started following hockey properly last season 🙏

I was confused by "the feed" too when I joined 😅 it just means whoever's actually broadcasting the game that night. Rights get split up here, so for the opener it could be Sportsnet or TSN, and you only know for sure once the schedule lists the channel. I just check the listing on the day and stream through Sportsnet+ if I'm stuck at home 🙌 does anyone know yet which one's got October 3?

To answer the practical side: check the schedule listing the day of, because that's honestly the only reliable way, rights in this league get split between Sportsnet and TSN, and there's no fixed rule that a Leafs-Sens opener lands on one of them. What I can say is it'll be an evening start, typical for a Saturday-type opener, so plan around a 7-ish puck drop and you won't be far off. My usual method: the broadcast assignment shows up on the team schedule once it's finalized, and streaming follows whatever channel has it.
Caveat on sample size here, since nobody's posted the confirmed channel yet. But if you want the pub route, anywhere along King West will have it on whatever screen is free.
