Quick question from a newbie here 😅, Vancouver are dead last with 58 points and that goal difference is rough, but five road games in eight days feels like fantasy points just from volume, no? Is grabbing their skaters before the Florida game on Oct 15 actually worth it, or am I reading that wrong? Go easy on me 🙏
Ellie, dig a bit deeper than the game count — volume only pays if the skaters convert, and a team running 216 goals for against 316 against on 58 points isn't exactly feeding lines easy minutes. That swing through Carolina, New Jersey, the Rangers and the Islanders before Florida on the 15th is mostly about matchups, so I'd only grab a Canuck if your league rewards hits and blocks, not points. Otherwise you're paying for ice time on a club that's coughing up a hundred goals more than it scores.

Easy minutes just means softer matchups, like when a fourth line gets thrown out against the other team's depth guys instead of their top pair. For Vancouver it's the opposite problem: Carolina, Jersey, the Rangers and Florida will all be matching their best defenders against the Canucks' top lines, so even if Pettersson or the PP1 guys log big minutes, the quality of ice time is rough.
