Selling Demko at or near his peak return is how you actually rebuild; keeping him through the next five-year teardown window means he's 32 when this team is competitive again.
That said, sample size caveat applies to Demko himself, one season of context can swing his value either way, and if you sell everyone with a heartbeat at once you get a Habs-style five-year rebuild that fans here will curse you for. My preference: sell the rentals and the mid-tier pieces hard, listen on Demko but only if the package is genuinely stupid-good, and keep the young core intact. @Calgary maybe I'm wrong but isn't selling everyone also assuming some GM out there is desperate enough to pay real returns? Feels like everyone knows Vancouver has to sell, so why would anyone offer full price 😅 still learning this stuff so correct me if I've got it backwards 🙏
